After the phase of collecting business ideas for the CoopUp Syracuse Call, the final selection of participants who applied for the call, promoted by Impact Hub Syracuse and Confcooperative Syracuse, took place at Impact Hub Syracuse as part of the national CoopUp programme of Confcooperative.
The selection phase saw the candidate teams compete “on pitch” and a jury of experts selected the 3 best ideas, which were awarded a 3-month incubation program by Impact Hub with the support of Confcooperative Syracuse. The jury included Matteo Bettoli, head of promotion and development at Confcooperative Nazionale, Silvia Spadaro from Confcooperative Siracusa, Giovanni Romano from Fondazione di Comunità Val di Noto, Giovanni Grasso from Fondazione di Comunità Val di Noto and Eureka Siracusa, Rosario Sapienza from Impact Hub Siracusa. It was an opportunity for the public presentation of the selected projects, but also an important moment of confrontation and sharing between the various candidates and actors operating in the territory supporting local businesses, in a perspective of networking and mutual pollination.
