What people say about us

Focus Group | Challenge Lab | EIT Food

FOCUS GROUP to choose together the specific theme on which to build the challenge of the new EIT Food Challenge Lab for 2020. Choose your date and join us!

MACRO-TEMES: food, circular economy and regenerative agriculture, because we believe that the first big challenge is to rethink the economic system in circular terms: this does not only mean changing business models, but also focusing more on the territory, shortening supply chains and developing localized economies to ensure greater resilience, from a territorial and environmental point of view.

PARTICIPATE in the Focus Group by sending an email to [email protected]

THE CHALLENGE with LA CALL FOR SOLUTIONS will be launched on November 3 and will be open to all those who want to propose their project or design idea and respond with new innovative and high-impact solutions.

EIT is an independent body of the European Union that moves in parallel with the Horizon 2020 program on specific issues, one of which is precisely that of Food. The collaboration with EIT, which began in 2019, aims to invite the community to actively participate in the advancement of knowledge on food issues and to promote proactive mechanisms for innovative and high-impact solutions. This path, which began last year with the first edition of the Challenge Lab in Sicily, aims to support a fruitful dialogue between the European Union and local territories.

HUBBERS DO IT BETTER. The first speed networking of the Italian Impact Hub Community

Hubbers do it better is an event dedicated to the Hubbers of the 8 Italian Impact Hubs

It is the first time that the entire Italian Impact Hub Community meets in a networking event. And because we like to dare we have chosen to do it with a speed date. Don’t you know what we’re talking about? This is the famous format used by Impact Hubs throughout the global network, to create and facilitate connections, links and relationships between the members of the Community.

The event is addressed only to Impact Hub Italia members. It is an unmissable opportunity to get to know each other, make contacts and create new business opportunities.

If you are not a member of the Community, you are still in time to become one! Find the Impact Hub closest to you and discover how to become a Hubber of the largest Community of innovators in the world!

WHEN?
Thursday 11th June at cocktail hour. 6:00 p.m.

WHERE?
Online of course. We use Zoom.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
Just register here and log in on time at 18:00 at Zoom (we’ll be ready to welcome you from 17:50 so you can leave quickly). Pop a beer and get in the game.

A few minutes to explain the “rules of the game” and then space for networking. Thanks to the rotation of participants you will have the opportunity to interact with many different people.

WHY PARTICIPATE?
You can meet many Impact Hub members from all over Italy that you might otherwise never meet.
Increase, in just over an hour, your opportunities for job growth by meeting more people than you could meet using traditional networks

SOCIAL LUNCH #11

The guest at lunch is Francesco Guccione

Producer of biodynamic wines in Monreale, Francesco Guccione, comes from a family that has practiced viticulture for several generations. Since 2005, with the recovery of a part of the family vineyards, Francesco has been practicing biodynamic agriculture, intended as a privileged way to recover the ancient traditions of the territory. Also for this reason he decided not to use additives, enzymes or added bacteria, letting the must ferment spontaneously with indigenous yeasts and giving up modern technologies. His wines are the expression of the Belice Valley territory, and the fruit of the relationship between the winemaker and his land. Francesco will tell us how and why to bet on soil management and soil texture with a natural approach that sees the plant inserted between the sky and the earth. A unique opportunity to understand the path of Sicilian biodynamic wines.

SOCIAL LUNCH #10

Sicily: an island with a green vocation

The guest at lunch is Luce Pennisi.

Luce Pennisi leaves her “contradictory” Milan in 2008 to return to Sicily. Founder and Creator of the Veg Sicily Project, since 2015 she has been promoting the Veg choice and vegetal, natural and km0 food, and the spiritual research, through the organization of events, conferences, seminars and vegetal cooking courses for amateurs and professionals. President of the Veg Sicilia Association since 2016, she is the author of the book “Sicilia in veg – an island with a green vocation” which collects the recipes of chef Alessandra Dal Zotto. A book that is a journey to discover a natural vocation, traditions, land and biodiversity. A journey, parallel, to the discovery of Sicilian recipes revisited in a vegetable key. The association Veg Sicilia – La Faccia Veg della Sicilia, on the other hand, is the result of a project that aims to promote a conscious choice of life, a natural and eco-friendly diet. Luce is currently engaged in training and information courses, not only on cooking methods and techniques, but above all, with the aim of generating moments of exchange, enrichment and personal growth.
